About Us
Diamond J-D Gelbvieh is a family-owned operation located in the heart of Central Missouri. What started as a dream has grown into a dedicated purebred program, driven by a passion for raising quality Gelbvieh cattle.
Our journey began in 2008 with the purchase of our first Gelbvieh bull at the Judd Ranch Bull Sale, followed by three purebred heifers purchased private treaty. From the very beginning, our focus has been on building a strong, reliable herd—keeping back our own heifers and making thoughtful breeding decisions that align with our long-term vision.
Since 2009, we’ve proudly offered our seedstock private treaty. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for integrity and quality, with over half of our bulls sold sight unseen to satisfied customers.
Our Operation
At Diamond J-D Gelbvieh, our goal is simple: to raise cattle that combine calving ease, growth, sound structure, longevity, and docility—resulting in profitable, moderate-framed animals for commercial and purebred producers alike.
We select our herd sires based on key traits such as growth, conformation, disposition, maternal strength, and calving ease.
